Tinker Hatfield designed colorways for the Air Jordan 7 in 1992, as Michael Jordan prepared for the Barcelona Olympics. Tinker let Jordan choose which became the Air Jordan 7 ‘Olympic’ sneakers. The alternative colorways intended to celebrate the Olympics in Rio were shelved until 2016 when the ‘Tinker Alternate’ was released. The ‘Tinker Alternate’ Air Jordan 7 Retro features a extremely contrasting upper white and blue blocked color. The shoes are one of only a couple of Jordan designs featuring on the heel Jordan’s Olympic number ‘9.’
